Introduction
The Victorinox Matterhorn is one of the rare members of Victorinox's late-1990s Mountain Series. Based on the Deluxe Tinker, it combines the familiar four-layer 91 mm configuration with the distinctive partially serrated main blade that defined this short-lived series.

II. The Matterhorn and the Mountain Series
The Matterhorn is essentially the Mountain Series version of the Deluxe Tinker. Victorinox applied the same concept to three established 91 mm models:
- McKinley → Tinker
- Rainier → Huntsman
- Matterhorn → Deluxe Tinker
All three shared the mountain-themed identity and partially serrated main blade, while retaining the different toolsets of their respective base models.

The series appears in the 1999 U.S./Canada catalogue and seems to have been short-lived.

Its combination of pliers, scissors and a partially serrated blade gives it a configuration that Victorinox never incorporated into its regular range, making surviving examples particularly interesting to collectors.
